Join Bernard Kerr for a two-day Coil-and-Throw workshop where you will combine the construction process of coil building with the uniformity of surface produced on the wheel.  Develop your throwing abilities to create large forms with confidence.

Please note: Moderate throwing skills are required, this workshop is not for beginner potters. i.e. an ability to throw a 150mm tall cylinder within 5 mins is necessary.

Join exhibiting artist Bernard Kerr as he discusses the concepts, techniques and ideas presented in Coincident.

The talk will be presented in the auditorium, followed by an opportunity to view the exhibition and secure your copy of the limited-edition catalogue produced with the support of Gordon Darling Foundation.

Bernard Kerr has been influential in Western Australian ceramic arts practice for over 45 years. Producing both functional and sculptural work in stoneware and porcelain, Kerr is a prolific artist and educator whose works are featured in international publications and held in government, corporate and private collections.

Coincident celebrates ceramic craft and investigates connections between objects and images, drawing on the histories of craft and art and how they are perceived in culture.
