Over 6 weeks Harrison will guide you through the process of creating and reworking a series of ‘painted studies’ on board. Each week you will use oils to interpret and express different subject matter; including landscapes, figures and abstract elements. Using a variety of techniques, Harrison will discuss and demonstrate the importance of mark-making, colour, composition and generating emphasis within a work. Towards the end of this series, you will then have the opportunity to apply what you have learned to a final larger painting. This workshop is focused on experimenting with painting approaches and will offer something to both beginners and experienced painters.
