Explore design principles of balance, proportion and movement in this new workshop with fibre artist Siân Boucherd. You will spend the session applying various basketry techniques to create a soft sculpture or wearable piece of art. No prior skills required but if you are good with your hands and want to play and learn some new tricks, this workshop is perfect for you.
Siân is a contemporary artist currently working with natural fibres such as sisal, jute and wool. Taking cues from natures architecture; formations such as pods, nests, cocoons, she creates meticulously hand crafted vessels by way of a coiling basketry technique. See more of Siân’s work here.
