Spend your Sunday learning to compose and paint a still life arrangement with West Australian artist Bernard Kerr. Bernard will walk you through the concepts that underpin still life painting and how to effectively use composition, tone and colour in order to develop a resolved still life, using the mediums of watercolour and gouache. New skills will culminate in a painting that will feature local produce from the Swan Valley. Enjoy a selection of fine wine and antipasto in the break.

Bernard has been an artist and educator for over 40 years, working in ceramics, sculpture and painting in Perth, Indonesia and Melbourne. Bernard’s practice explores how images and objects function in our lives. He is particularly interested in the relationship between perception, emotion and language.
