Riso Print Gocco with Ingrid Mulder

  • Midland Junction Arts Centre 276 Great Eastern Highway Midland, WA, 6056 Australia (map)

Join Ingrid Mulder from Crow Mountain Paper for this exciting and rare introduction to Riso Print Gocco.

Gocco or Print Gocco is a self-contained compact color riso printing system invented in 1977 in Japan by Noboru Hayama. An accessible and domestic version of screen printing, in the 80s it was estimated that one-third of Japanese households owned a Print Gocco system. The Gocco sets included the materials and tools to both make and print the screens, and were commonly used for printing personalised New Year’s cards and stationery.

In this three-week evening course you will create your own series of postcard size Gocco prints in both one colour and multi-colour editions. Drawing from your own designs, you may choose to make an editioned set of fine art prints or greeting cards with options to print on fabric. This course includes paper, as well as 6 sets of Gocco screens and bulbs per student.

Having been a servicer and supplier of Print Gocco systems in Japan for over 8 years, Ingrid has a wealth of knowledge to impart on new students.
