Scale up with Bernard Kerr as he introduces the Coil and Throw ceramic construction method. Over three full days, Bernard will guide you through the techniques required for making taller and larger vessels using a combination of hand building and wheel throwing to develop an aesthetic form. This workshop is suitable for students who are familiar with using a pottery wheel.
Bernard has been an artist and educator for over 40 years, working in ceramics, sculpture and painting in Perth, Indonesia and Melbourne.
This course includes a bisque firing. Please bring along your own apron, towel, sketchbook and wear closed in shoes. 1 x 10kg bag of clay will be provided per student, BYO additional stoneware clay or purchase a bag from the ceramics technician.
