Over the past 57 years, Tami has been known as or called; Tamela, Mum, Mother, Sister, Cousin, Girlfriend, Friend, My Yankee Neighbour, Mate, Artist, Creative, Community Minded, Volunteer, Pet Owner, Greenie, Bottle Washer, Chief Dish Bitch, Blue-Eyed Devil, Student, Teacher, Tutor, Arts Worker, Art Student, Social Trainer, Disability support Worker, Carer, CWA Member, Garden Member, Artonomy Member, ECU Arts Graduate, and now, Resident Artist at MJAC.
During this residency, she will analyse and respond creatively to ideas of identity through the use of portraiture, ceramics and the re-use of materials. She will be exploring a linear family narrative stretching from the 1760’s through to the present day, drawing on influences from the bust works of Giacometti.
