For the Best was a new evolution of the memorable community engagement programs Whiskey & Boots offer. Partnered with The Last Great Hunt and writer Jeffrey Jay Fowler, For the Best fused community interviews, music and performance, having sought insight into why we sometimes lose contact with the people who were once closest to us.

PERHAPS YOU WOULD LIKE TO SHARE YOUR STORY?

We are a group of professional theatre artists who made a show about how and why even good friendships can end. We sat with individuals to listen and to record true stories of lost friendship. We weaved these stories into a live performance.

Those who chose to share their story with us were able to trust that it was handled with care and discretion, and they were able to remain anonymous.

All participants were invited to see a showing of the work in development.

People's stories were recorded in person at Midland Junction Arts Centre between 10am - 5pm from Wed 2 - Fri 4 Oct 2024.
