Apparent and Immanent
Utilising bright and alluring materials, Apparent and Immanent from Megan Shaw uses MJAC’s building and considers how as a heritage site, its protection over time has allowed it to morph internally whilst its external- apparent state has been conserved in the face of constant change. The project aims to build a relational connection between the building, sculptural materials and viewer while exploring themes of metamorphosis and adaption of the external and internal space by using the exterior and interior sites of a heritage building and found objects.
